The story of National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation 2 began with Cousin Eddie in his workplace. Cousin Eddie’s workplace is a nuclear facility where he works along with a monkey. This fictional character has the custom of arguing with his partner whenever the monkey outperforms him in duty.
So, when the monkey outdoes him in the mental agility test, Cousin Eddie decided to fire him. This decision led to an argument between Cousin Eddie and the monkey. The fight gets to the point that the monkey bit him.

So, the nuclear company offered Cousin Eddie and his family a free trip to an island in the south pacific.
This the company did as a preemptive countermeasure. Cousin Eddie and his family accepted the offer and went on the trip. While they were on holiday, Cousin Eddie and his family went on a boat ride. It was on that vacation that Edie tried to catch a shark.
It went sideways, and they shipwrecked on an isolated island. On the island, Cousin Eddie got the opportunity to show his family that he is capable of taking care of things. He proved himself a man and provided for his family by taking the lead and doing things for them.
They were able to celebrate Christmas together on the island because of Cousin Eddie manly effort. After some time, a rescue team finds Eddie and his family. They were on board the aeroplane when the pilot suddenly becomes incapacitated.
This created a situation that Eddie controlled. He assumed the role of the pilot and landed the plane safely. On getting to their place, Cousin Eddie realised that he had gotten his job back.

Randy was born in Houston, Texas in the United States. His parents are Juanita Bonniedale and William Rudy Quaid. Randy has English, Cajun, and Scots-Irish ancestry. His older brother is Dennis Quaid. Quaid took classes in drama and did not expect to enjoy the classes.
After the third day, Quaid was captivated by the course and decided to make acting his career. He continues his study at the University of Houston. One of his teachers sent him to audition, and he won the role. The film The Last Picture Show became Quaid’s debut film.
