Early Life

Bateman was born in Rye, New York, on February 19, 1966. She was born to Victoria Elizabeth and Kent Bateman. Justine Bateman was born in a show business family. Her father worked as a writer, producer, and director. Her mother was a stewardess for Pan Am. Bateman has a younger brother, Jason Bateman. Jason is also a popular actor, best known for Michael Bluth on Arrested Development.
Education
Justine attended Taft High School in Woodland Hills, California. However, Bateman could not enrol in college after high school due to her contractual obligations.
In 2012, at age 46, she enrolled in the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). In 2016, Bateman attained a bachelor’s degree in computer science and digital media management from UCLA.

Justine Bateman’s brother, Jason, motivated Justine’s interest in acting. After seeing her brother’s television debut on Little House on the Prairie, she signed with his agency. In 1983, she became part of the TV series and played the role of superficial Mallory Keaton on the television sitcom Family Ties. Justine was nominated for a golden globe award and two Emmy awards for her role in Family Ties in 1986 and 1987.
