Early Life

The gorgeous actor was born on June 7th, 1972, in Wellington, New Zealand. His father was a German expatriate, and his mother worked at Movie Facilities in Wellington. He grew up in Wellington, where his father ran a leather goods shop. As a youngster, Urban’s father hoped that he would follow in his shoes as an artist.

Karl, on the other hand, was obsessed with acting, which he began when he was eight years old. The actor was nurtured by his two brothers as he grew up. The three of them have established The Urban Brothers, a rock band.
